Gauride targets soccer fans

Gauride earlier this week said it successfully promoted its safe, reliable and free transport to official match ticket holders during the FIFA Confederations Cup by briefing Primall Media to advertise its services by engaging prominent media platforms in relevant Gauteng shopping centres.

Each Gauride message was designed to simply inform ticket holders that complementary transport to their matches in Tshwane or Johannesburg was available from provincial Transport Hubs (set up in addition to municipal Park and Ride centres).

Lee Curtis, executive head, sales and marketing of Primall Media, a Primedia Unlimited subsidiary, comments "Research indicated that large volumes of the target market would frequent the selected shopping malls of Eastgate, The Glen, Rosebank Mall, Menlyn Park, The Zone, and East Rand Mall. To reach the target audience, advertising focused on people who frequent the malls' parkades. Gauride's packages include boom advertising, parkade advertising and exterior billboards."

The advertising space is secured in the participating shopping centres until the end of November 2009.
