New plasma screens for airport

Indiza Media, a subsidiary of Primedia Outdoor, recently replaced its existing scroller units at OR Tambo International Airport's (ORTIA) domestic and international arrival terminals with state-of-the-art plasma technology screens.

Indiza Media has been awarded five-year rights to offer client advertising space on 24x103 inch plasma screens covering both domestic and international arrivals. To create maximum impact, the 24x103 inch plasma screens will be synchronised.

Tactical advantages include life-like, full-size images that appear realistic and eye-catching. The technology delivers clear, detailed images even when consumers are close to the screens, and crisp images despite the brightest lighting to show the true texture of the image or product.

"The dynamic 103 inch images have a powerful appeal as the superior motion-image resolution reproduces fast-action images with stunning clarity. The images look sharp and detailed even when viewed at an angle, catching the attention of more travellers," says Mzi Deliwe, MD of Indiza Media.

“Designed for 24/7 operation... tactical messaging and real-time updates add to the innovative advantages we offer clients. Any message can be presented on selected plasmas, one or all, and be time-based to enhance creative excellence," he adds.

A range of messages can also be interchanged within the advertisers' slot, and direct data feeds can be downloaded directly to the site.

"Weather updates, financial indicators and any other information needed by travellers can be screened which generates greater noting of content relevant to the traveller," Deliwe concludes.
