Acquisto started out presenting on UCT radio during his second year at varsity, where he was studying for a BA Law degree. During this time, he auditioned for a presenter search for the youth TV show on SABC2, Hectic Nine-9. He won the coveted role and, four years on, he is still a lead presenter and now also produces for the show.
Managing a presence across two major media platforms in South Africa is no easy feat, but something he is proud of. His hard work, passion and drive for the industry are what fuel him to challenge himself and explore new avenues and opportunities.
"It is a three hour insight into my world and a platform to discuss fun, interesting and relevant content on air. We play music and have guests on the show each week, with every show guaranteed to provide laughs. I want to feature segments that listeners will be interested in and that will have them tuning in each week - not wanting to miss a show. The show is very listener-driven and will adapt to what listeners want to hear."
