Stor-Age supports children through charity drive

Stor-Age, a leading self-storage company, is no stranger when it comes to supporting the kids of our communities. Through initiatives such as the Create Happiness Drive as well as donations and school sponsorships, Stor-Age aims to better the lives of children throughout the country.

Create Happiness, an initiative by Stor-Age and Round Table, takes place once a year and is a collection campaign for toys, clothes, linen and books and other goods for children. The Western Cape Stor-Age branches collected the most goods, enough to fill a 28m2 storage unit. Second was Bloemfontein with 15m2 and then Johannesburg with 5m2. All goods have gone to Round Table to be distributed to selected charities.

Donation to The Children's Hospital Trust

Stor-Age also recently made a R5 000 donation to The Children's Hospital Trust in aid of the young patients at the Red Cross Memorial Children's Hospital in Cape Town. Having visited the hospital recently, Robbie Cameron, business development manager at Stor-Age commented on how encouraged he was by the helpful and friendly staff, as well as by the fortitude that the children showed through their difficulties.

Furthermore, Stor-Age sponsors several local school sports teams across the country. Recent sponsorships include the Midmar Mile Swimming Teams of Eunice High School in Bloemfontein and Allen Glen High School in Pietermaritzburg.

"These local and nationwide initiatives are very important to Stor-Age" says Gavin Lucas, CEO of Stor-Age. "We are continuously looking for ways to get involved in our communities and to make a difference to the lives of children in South Africa."
