Date change for Markex

Markex World of Events 2010 will take place 24-26 August 2010 at Sandton Convention Centre to accommodate the 2010 FIFA World Cup, as opposed to its usual June timeslot. Next year's show promises even greater appeal with the addition of a variety of interactive attractions, including for the first time The Loerie Awards Travelling Exhibition.

Another significant change to the show will see the creation of a new ‘trade only' section in Hall 1, giving trade buyers the opportunity to view and source products and services in a less public area. “With an exclusive coffee shop where trade visitors can relax in a quieter setting, the ‘trade only' section will be a welcome addition for buyers seeking the opportunity to source products on a more personalised, one-on-one basis,” says exhibition director Lynn Chamier.

Building on the success of the inaugural AdVantage Advertising Village in 2009, the show will once again feature a dedicated interactive area where advertising agencies will visually display all aspects of advertising and branding to the marketplace with open exhibition stands. With a dedicated presentation corner and meeting area with casual seating and a wine bar, the village will be ideal to network and gain business contacts.

“Marketers come to this exhibition every year to stock up on ideas, concepts, inspirations and contacts for the year ahead. It continues to grow every year and has consistently attracted record amounts of quality visitors and exhibitors. In 2009, 309 exhibitors showcased their goods and services to 10 861 visitors, 85% of whom either made or intended making a purchasing decision and 98% said they would visit again in 2010,” concludes Chamier.
