Sippel joins Cars in Action, new Dish Digital magazine

Magazine news this week includes the launch of Dish Digital for DStv subscribers and a new face at AbsolutAction Media's car magazines.

Magazine founder Michele Lupini, has assembled a new team to taking Cars in Action, its sister magazine Bakkie and the website www.carsinaction.co.za to a new level. Egmont Sippel has joined as editor at large, joining editor John Bentley and publisher Wendy Robinson. Regarded as a doyen of motoring journalism, Sippel has won the SAGMJ Motoring Journalist of the Year award five times and is recognised not only as a demon driver with empathy on the subject of motoring, but also as a Formula 1 guru. Sippel is relishing the opportunity to play a key role in taking Cars in Action to a new level alongside Bentley, Lupini and the Absolut Action team. The first edition of the new-generation Cars in Action will be on shelf in October 2011.

Digital updates

Highlighting top movies, new shows, premiere documentaries, the best of sport and youth programmes for the kids, Dish Digital is now available to DStv Premium and DStv Compact subscribers every month and every two weeks for Premium subscribers.
