According to Mommsen, one of the most exciting aspects of the app is that it has been made in South Africa but is completely compatible with and relevant to a global audience.
He describes the app as a professional tool for accessing potential career opportunities, as users are able to select who can contact them. This is further enhanced by the quick registration and searching process.
There is also a basic search function, where location and keywords can be entered or a more specific search can be performed by using the advanced search. Another standout feature of the app is the 'recently added' and 'top rated' candidate selection.
With online privacy being such a hot topic at present, developer of the app, Siveshnee Moonsamy, explains how the built-in Request button provides a sense of security to the job seeker. "The potential employee's contact info remains unseen until they sanction the request. It is only after the employer has purchased a 'full' CV that they have access to the contact details, which could potentially lead to an interview."
Logged-in employers can also reverse the charge of the purchase using the Pay Swap option so that the job seeker can incur the expense. They can then add a candidate to their favourites list while push notifications will alert potential employees of new requests, responses to requests as well as successful purchasing of CVs. All requested candidate CVs will be found in the Requests tab along with the status of the request.
As with any app, the agility of the development process means future additions to the app based on user feedback, can be seamlessly integrated in as smooth a manner as possible. The app is currently free for download and CVs can be purchased in-app at US $0.99.
