South African documentaries get international audience

Distributors of non-fiction content Off The Fence (OTF) has signed a multi-million rand distribution deal with South African production company Cooked in Africa Films.

The deal covers:

  • 5 seasons of the popular Cooked series (totalling 32 hours)
  • Getaway to Africa ( a spinoff series) (13 x 30')
  • Going Solo: Madagascar (6 x 24') which follows adventurer, Riaan Manser as he prepares to kayak around Madagascar alone
  • Exploring the Vine (13 x 30') which follows three young South African winemakers tasting, making and drinking wine;
  • Charly's Cake Angels (13 x 30') a series that provides viewers with a glimpse behind-the-scenes of Charly's candy-striped bakery in Cape Town;
  • The Ride of the Peacemaker (6 x 50'), an equine adventure series which retraces the historical hoof prints of Dick King
  • Fresh Living TV (13 x 30')
