“We have four objectives for the site,” he said. “The first is to inspire and assist amateur film makers in creating fresh and exciting new movies. Secondly, use the magazine as a platform through which professional movie producers in South Africa could promote their work and create some buzz around their latest projects.

"Thirdly, we would like to create better awareness and appreciation for locally produced content amongst the South African movie audience and finally assist film makers and distributors in the fight against piracy by building awareness about the consequences of the illegal film trade industry.”

While the April 2010 issue has been met with positive reaction and support, both Len and co-founder Wimpie van der Merwe believe that the best is yet to come. “We have great ideas that we would like to share with the community,” said van der Merwe. “The South African movie industry is only now waking up to its true potential and we are excited to be part of the coming revolution.”

The site collaborated with Awesome Web Development for its online requirements and Adobe for its AdobeSource project. Interested investors are invited to contact Len du Randt via e-mail at to assist with the sustained growth of the magazine online at www.mov-e.co.za.
