The Other Guide appoints Sue Baguley as sales director

The Other Guide to the Cape, the popular guide magazine for tourists to the Cape, has announced the appointment of a new sales director, Sue Baguley, formerly of Primedia Publishing, Drive magazine and SA Auto Trader.

The appointment comes at a time when the highly acclaimed Cape guide magazine is starting on an expansion program into new markets. "We are delighted that Sue has agreed to head up our new sales team," says publisher Hugo Ripley, "We have some exciting new development plans and were in need of a dynamic and experienced person to head up the sales team. Sue fits the bill for us perfectly."

Baguley has launched and set up many publications that are now household names in South Africa; she was responsible for implementing SA Auto Trader, who's success far exceeded industry expectations, she also turned a struggling Drive magazine into a profitable publication (which also won an SPA Pica Award for a Motoring Publication in the same year) and was at the helm in the redesign of Advantage magazine (under John Farquhar) in 1999.

"It's great to be part of an exciting publishing house," says Baguley, "and working with a team of people who continue to identify opportunities and new markets. The Other Guide is enjoyed and respected by both readers and advertisers, ensuring its future success."
