Charmaine Noy joins weekday line-up at Kfm

Cape Town DJ Charmaine Noy, who currently presents the Saturday and Sunday 6pm - 10pm show on Kfm 94.5, is shifting to the 12pm - 3pm weekday slot from 1 November 2006. Noy joined Kfm in July this year from sister station 567mw CapeTalk.

Enthuses Noy, "I am a communicator and find radio the most exciting environment. Radio allows me to connect with so many wonderful people. It is an exciting move and I am looking forward to this wonderful opportunity. I'm thankful to so many of my colleagues for sharing their passion and experience with me."

Noy developed her broadcasting skills at CapeTalk after being employed as an administrative secretary in 1997. Her radio career took off by chance when she was asked to present traffic updates in the absence of the regular afternoon presenter. She made an immediate impact and soon became an integral part of CapeTalk's on-air team.

According to Kfm's programming manager Clive Ridgway, Noy has slotted into the Kfm sound easily since joining the station. "Moving Charmaine into the weekday line-up was simply a matter of time. She has a wonderful voice and positive energy that will continue to charm our listeners."

With Noy's addition, the new weekday line-up from 1 November is as follows:

    6am - 9am: Nic Marais

    9am -12pm: Benito Vergotine
    12pm - 3pm: Charmaine Noy

    3pm - 6pm: Ryan O'Connor.
