Event management company Leisureworx and Lourensford Estate have appointed parties, events and experiences company Loudfire to produce the guest experience for their first annual Investec Polo Showdown, taking place at Lourensford Estate in Somerset West, Cape Town, on Saturday 25 March 2006.

The "Investec Polo Showdown - Plett vs Cape Town" will be the first polo fixture in the Western Cape and offers corporates a unique and exclusive environment in which to entertain their top clients. The invitational tournament is a joint venture between Leisureworx and Lourensford Estate and promises to put Cape Town on South Africa's polo map, along with the only other major polo venues in this country, Inanda Club in Johannesburg and Kurland in Plettenberg Bay.

Says Paul Sainsbury, Sales Director of Loudfire: "We have worked extensively with Leisureworx in the past and are most gratified that Paul Jackson (Leisureworx MD) and his team continue to put their faith in us. The Investec Polo Showdown is an exciting project. While horseracing is said to be the Sport of Kings, polo has become known as the Game of Kings and as such the hospitality provided at these events is of the top drawer variety. Certainly we look forward to continuing this fine tradition, with hospitality that is as stylish, elegant and refined as polo patrons are accustomed to."
