Women's Leadership Forum offers top speakers

The Southern African Association for the Conference Industry (SAACI) and the Exhibition and Event Association of Southern Africa (EXSA) are jointly presenting the Women's Leadership Forum at the Radisson Blu Gautrain on 20 November 2013.

SAACI GM, Lorin Bowen, says the one-day event is aimed at senior or middle managers, business owners and entrepreneurs. "The majority of our industry is made up of women and this forum gives them the opportunity to focus on themselves, their aspirations and how to go about achieving their goals."

She says an array of speakers has been confirmed to address delegates and provide them with information, insights and tools.

Women in the economy

Renowned economist Daniel Silke will set the ball rolling with a presentation entitled 'Women in the economy - global trends and the role of women to shape and shift the world.' Author and entrepreneur Kate Moodley's presentation - 'Be the CEO of your brand' - will count as one clock hour towards the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) qualification. Cathy Lammas of Glacier Financial Solutions will focus on financial planning for women and human resources consultant Prof Shirley Zinn will give advice on breaking through the proverbial glass ceiling.

"We will also focus on lighter topics though," says Bowen.

Wendy Hind of international image consultancy Chata Romano will address delegates on personal image, including body language and dress and marketing expert Sarah Bauling's presentation is entitled 'Let's get high - putting things in perspective. Don't sweat the small stuff.'"

"The day will end with a cocktail event offering great networking opportunities. We believe this will be an event not to be missed," concludes Bowen.

The cost for EXSA & SAACI Members is R1750 ex VAT and for non-members, R2500 ex VAT. For more information, go to www.saaci.co.za.
