metail24.com arises from rubybox.co.za success

The online beauty community, rubybox.co.za, has expanded its operations, following a majority investment from 24.com (a subsidiary of Naspers' Media24) in September last year.

A parent company, metail24.com has been created. This extension will house rubybox.co.za, manbox.co.za, a monthly men's subscription box specialising in grooming and lifestyle products launched in January 2014 and the recently created fab4less.co.za, an online discount beauty club geared at the ethnic, female market, which gives members access to discounts of up to 60%.

The new company will focus on building and commercialising its respective communities through curated product offerings.

"At metail24.com, we build brands based on a club model and engage members through product discovery coupled with content," says metail24.com CEO, Sylvia Gruber. "We kick-start conversations with trial size products and or purchased products and then listen to what our consumers have to say. From their input, we then tailor product creation and offerings."
