Fit magazine gets on the treadmill with Touchline again

Touchline Media is delighted to announce that it has been re-elected to partner Virgin Active South Africa as the custom publisher for FIT magazine, the official mouthpiece of the health club company to its members countrywide, after an absence of a year. Touchline's first issue will be March 2005.

With cutting-edge wellness and training advice sitting alongside articles on product innovations, fashion, food, finance, travel and grooming, FIT is poised to regain the mantle of one of South Africa's premier customer magazine titles.

FIT will be posted to all 420 000 Virgin Active members three times per year. From an advertiser's perspective, the magazine claims that its cost-per-thousand figure of R106, is one of the lowest of any lifestyle title in South Africa, reaching the highest calibre audience possible in terms of demo and psychographics.

Publisher, Paul Ingpen and Tim Carter, director of marketing at Virgin Active believe that the synergy between Virgin Active and Touchline Media, publishers of best-selling titles like Men's Health, Runners World, Bicycling and Shape, is one which will see the magazine grow into an enduring magazine brand. Maurice Levin, formerly deputy editor and features editor on Runner's World, has been promoted to editor of Fit magazine.
