The new, free digital magazine launched on 1 October 2014 and is the brainchild of joint publishers Lesiba Morallane, co-founder of Harith General Partners and Mthokozisi Ngwenya, an entrepreneur.
"When we did our research, we discovered that there are many book review websites and outlets to buy books but not enough information about the authors who write these books. Authorsmag.com will feature the story behind the story of well-known and new authors," says Ngwenya, who is also the developer of the magazine.
The cover story of the launch issue features crime fiction author, Angela Makholwa who speaks frankly about her encounter with a serial killer and how that helped her write her first book, Red Ink and what motivated her to write Black Widow Society and the 30th Candle.
As this is an author's magazine, there are many reviews of new and old books from authors such as Zakes Mda and Professor Jonathan Jansen.
On Wednesday 15 October, AuthorsMag.com will launch Authors TV on the same website where readers can look forward to interviews with the cover star and other authors. For more information, go to www.authorsmag.com.
