Platypus travels globe for Capespan

Platypus Productions' partner Stanley Edwards and cameraman Glen Thomas have just returned from two weeks international travel for client Capespan filming in eight cities on opposite ends of the globe. Surviving jetlag and life in a suitcase, the crew visited London, Sheerness, Brussels, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore before returning home to complete shooting Capespan's local operations.

As far as Capespan were concerned, although there were business imperatives behind Platypus' appointment, most important in their favour was the commendation by Y&R Gitam: "Platypus Productions came highly recommended by our current Advertising Agency, Young and Rubicam Gitam and we liked the creativity and high production values evident in other similar short corporate marketing videos they did for VW, Windhoek Lager and British American Tobacco which is different from our current Corporate Marketing Video."

Edwards says: "We've done a lot of international work, most recently for British American Tobacco, Standard Chartered and Media 24 so we understand the insider tips of how to extract maximum value for the client while abroad. We're also chuffed to be able to show off our Hollywood-standard DVD authoring equipment as this project will have sophisticated interactivity and multiple language soundtracks."

Platypus Productions also recently announced the launch of their Rivonia office in Johannesburg.
