FIFA restrictions outrage media

NEWSWATCH: What are viewed as FIFA's overly restrictive reporting rules have angered media, which have been warned to read accreditation documents for sports events very carefully before journalists sign them as they could be binding on the whole organisation, reports Business Day.

Meanwhile, the rules have outraged editors, represented by the South African Media Interest Group, comprising members of the South African National Editors Forum (SANEF) and industry body Print Media SA. Thabo Leshilo, head of SANEF's media freedom committee, said: "It's outrageous what FIFA is used to getting away with,” reports Moneyweb.
