In addition, the training module provides the baker with additional insights into extending his baking repertoire, by including some additional uses for the Spicy Bun Prepared Mix, for example, rusks and spicy loaves.
"Due to the popular demand of spicy baked goods, the step-by-step instructional video showing the preparation and baking of Hot Cross Buns became the ideal choice for the content of the first video," says Liezel van Bergen, Senior Brand Manager Milling.
The module includes instructions and tips on the preparation and mixing of the dough, fruit conditioning, the making of a clean and distinctive white cross and concludes with tips on achieving the perfect glaze.
Every few months, new episodes of baking modules will be launched and these will be available for viewing on the company website and YouTube channel.
"We decided to use available technology and make these instructional baking videos accessible to the public in order to keep to our ethos of sharing knowledge and ensuring excellence in the craft of baking," concludes van Bergen.
