New headsets from Logitech

Last week, Logitech announced the launch of two new headsets featuring support for super wideband audio, the USB Headset H530 and the Laptop Headset H555, both of which offer clear sound.

The laptop headset folds flat, easily fits into the included case and has a behind-the-head design with adjustable earpieces for a lightweight, personalised fit. Its USB connection offers digital audio in stereo, perfect for Internet calls, music, movies and games.

The H530's laser-tuned drivers and digital connection provide clear audio for voice and video calls, as well as music, movies, and games. On-ear audio controls allow users to optimise audio, whether talking, listening to music or playing games. A padded foam headband and cushioned ear cups give a comfortable fit.

Audio quality a prime concern

Both new headsets offer a noise-cancelling microphone, which reduces annoying background noise and rotates out of the way when not being used and both are compatible with Vid HD, Skype 4.0 for Windows or later and Skype 2.8 for Mac or later.

"We've learned from customers that better quality audio is one the most important factors in selecting which headset is right for them," says Leslie Smyth, sales & marketing manager - Southern Africa developed countries, Indian Ocean Islands, Nigeria and Ghana. "By supporting super wideband audio, the new headsets help make Internet and video calls sound crystal clear."

Both are expected to be available in South Africa in July at Hi-Fi Corporation, Dion Wired, Musica - Rosebank and Makro. The H530 will retail at R474.90 and the laptop headset for R575.90.
