Green mobility with new Naite

Sony Ericsson has launched its latest in eco-friendly mobile phones, offering users a greener choice without having to compromise on style or design.
Green mobility with new Naite

One of the first GreenHeart pioneer phones to be launched by the brand, the new Naite includes an electronic, in-phone manual, which replaces the standard paper version, saving over 90% in paper and providing convenient access to the product support guide whenever, wherever.

The e-manual also reduces the impact of transporting the final product through more compact packaging. Made from a minimum of 50% recycled plastics, Naite includes a low-power charger, one of the most energy efficient to be introduced onto the market. Thanks to these innovations, the overall CO2 footprint of Naite is reduced by 15%.

“Naite is a phone that not only helps you to organise your life and work, it allows consumers to make an economical choice with the low-power charger and reduce their impact on the environment,” said Sonja Shear, Head of Marketing at Sony Ericsson South Africa. “Going green shouldn't mean consumers have to sacrifice features or style so we've created a phone that is packed with impressive features such as high-speed 3G and Active desktop to help consumers manage their busy lives.”

Naite also includes an Ecomate application to help users make greener choices in their everyday lives as well as a carbon footprint calculator to show users just how much CO2 they are saving when they walk instead of taking the car.

Other features include:

  • 2Mp camera with video-calling
  • Media player with Mega Bass and TrackID
  • Video viewing and streaming
  • 3D games
  • Google Maps
  • Up to 100MB of phone memory; supports SanDisk microSD card
  • 2.2-inch, 262,144 colour TFT screen
  • Dimensions: 108 x 47 x 12.6 mm; weight: 84g
