The new concept store has been rolled out internationally, as part of Guess’ elevation strategy in some of the world’s most fashionable cities like Barcelona, Amsterdam, Murcia and Budapest as well as local cities, Sandton, and the V&A Waterfront.
Guess has 25 product categories in over 100 countries with roughly 1,000 directly operated stores worldwide and 1,600 stores in total.
Guess operates an omnichannel business model, selling via multiple touchpoints such as e-commerce, retail and, particularly important in Europe, wholesale where Guess maintains a network of around 4,000 wholesale customers.
In March the company released its fourth quarter results which exceeded the company’s expectations for revenues, operating profit and earnings.
For the year, in constant currencies, impressively, Guess grew by 12% to $2.9bn, but currency headwinds consumed $217m of that growth, resulting in the 4% U.S. dollar increase and $2.7bn of revenues. This shows the significant transformation of the company.
