Portia Sokkie is a Human Resources professional who has been in the working world since 1998 and has over 13 years human resource experience. Her industry proficiency ranges from banking, insurance, entertainment industry, consulting, health care and NGO.

She holds a BComm Honours Degree in Human Resource Development, a Degree in Human Resources Management and National Diploma in Human Resources Management from the University of Johannesburg. Portia is currently working for Abraham Kriel Childcare, prominent large NGOs in the Gauteng region. She is head of the HR division. Her early history, she became one of Absa best employees by winning the prestige award, this award is presented to employees who execute exceptional performance, and creates organisational changes that impacts the organisation, and this was just within a year of being employed at Absa. She has been seen as pioneer to businesses as she makes dramatic changes within the divisions/companies that she gets employed. She implemented several initiatives within Abraham Kriel Childcare such is the Employee wellness forum, she believes in valuing your employees, through them you will succeed as a business.
