The joint venture between Deutsche Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, SunExpress has appointed Rafet Alper Özen as the deputy managing director of its German division. Özen will be based in Frankfurt am Main when he commences his duties as SunExpress Deutschland's deputy managing director.
After he obtained his degree from the Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Econometrics at Uludag University, Özen joined Turkish Airlines' sales and marketing department in 2008. Since then he held several management positions at the airline in Istanbul, the United Kingdom, the Maldives and Dubai and also held the position of vice president sales Africa. Most recently, he served as Turkish Airlines' vice president sales southern Europe where he managed 27 destinations in Greece, Malta, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.
