Taxis are the primary mode of transportation across the African continent. In Cameroon alone, taxis transport over eight million commuters daily. The agreement is the country’s first step towards implementing legislation that will mandate all Cameroon taxi operators to have vehicle tracking units installed in their vehicles.
“Ctrack shares our commitment to creating safer roads for all. Through Ctrack’s commitment, we will engage in talks with the Transport Ministry to enforce the installation of GPS tracking units into all taxis.”

The multi-year agreement will enable the government of Cameroon to provide GPS vehicle tracking, safety and compliance solutions to its more than 100,000 taxis currently operating on the country’s roads.
