Geely takes first fleet order for Emgrand EC7

The Mosaic Property Group has placed the first fleet order with Geely South Africa for the new Geely Emgrand EC7. Based in Johannesburg, the group's order will constitute 40% of its total fleet of vehicles.
Geely takes first fleet order for Emgrand EC7

The new EC7, the launch model of Geely's luxury brand Emgrand, will be used as fleet cars for Mosaic's new "Platinum Property Portfolio" group of sales representatives, operating in upmarket areas that will include Dainfern, Dainfern Valley, Bryanston, Beverley, Lonehill, Fourways, Cedar Lakes and surroundings.

    Value for money

"This is exactly how we see the car being perceived in the market... it perfectly fills the void for a mid-size sedan that is original in its design, complete in package and specification, properly safe and costing far less than one would expect, and with a 5year warranty to boot," says Henri Meistre, managing director of Geely South Africa. "I have no doubt that this is just the first of many companies that will admit to this car being South Africa's best value for money in this segment."

Mosaic ordered four Geely Emgrand EC7 1.8 GL Luxury models. "Their reasons for choosing the EC7 include the fact that the cars are spacious enough for their customers and suitably luxurious," says Meistre, pointing out that the space for rear seat occupants along with all the creature comforts were key selling points.

Lyzette Gomes, managing director of the Mosaic Property Group, said another key consideration for the purchase was the fact that the cars cost less than R160,000. "The image portrayed is also suitably upmarket for the areas in which we will use these cars, showing homes ranging in value from the upper R2 millions to R10 million plus," she adds.

Another feature that impressed the new fleet owners, was the fact that Geely South Africa backs its new model with a comprehensive warranty. "They were very impressed with the standard luxury and safety features in this model, as well as its 5 year / 100,000 km warranty," says Meistre.

Mosaic said they will be looking at increasing the size of their Geely Emgrand EC7 fleet in the near future, depending on business and the performance of the cars.
