Having supposed to perform at the end of April 2010 in Johannesburg, South Africa, Thicke had to postpone those dates due to the birth of his son, which took place recently.
Known previously in the music industry only as a songwriter and producer for artists such as Christina Aguilera, Mya, Brandy, Marc Anthony and Usher, Thicke went on to win a Grammy Award for best songwriter and producer for the single Confessions off of Usher's album of the same name in 2004. In 2007 the release of his second album, “The Evolution of Robin Thicke”, finally garnered him recognition for his vocal abilities. He won Breakthrough artist of the Year 2007 at the VH1/Vibe Soul Awards.
