Inner city winter wine tuning

The venues for Tuning the Vine's #innerCityWineRoute on Wednesday, 8 June are: 91 Loop, IYO Burgers, Signal Hill Winery, Boston Est. 2015, Weinhaus & Biergarten, Charango and The Gin Bar. The route will also include two newcomers: La Parada and Upstairs by [SPASIE].

Tuners may look forward to tastings from Bloemendal, Buitenverwachting, Fairview, Innis&Gunn, Rosendal, Grand Provence, Vergenoegd, Raats, Creation, Moreson, Ken Forrester, Leopards Leap, Wilderers Gin, Dombeya and Signal Hill.

Chenin Blanc Association will also be doing a razzle dazzle of “All things Chenin” at 91 Loop with wines from Stellenrust, Demorgenzon, Kaapzicht, Bergsig, Opstal, Perdeberg and Jean Daneel.

A little peckish?

Venues will be selling items like sliders, Peruvian tacos, (Honest) chocolate offerings, chilli poppers, truffle fries, German style sausages, nibbles from the grill, sticky wings, saucy ribs and burgers.

Private Somm tours

The Tuning the Vine Somms are passionate about wine, with highly-trained and knowledgeable wine brains ready to help you. Starting at 6pm and 7pm from 91 on Loop, the 60-minute, customisable Somm tours cost an additional R100 per person (maximum eight people).

Tickets

Secure your spot online for R150 via Quicket. Remember to collect wrist bands, wine glasses and route maps from either ticketing station (91 Loop Boutique Hostel or La Parada) on the night. Groupon tickets can also be redeemed there. Please note, tickets purchased at the event will cost R170.

The next events will take place on 13 July, 10 August, 7 September, 12 October, 9 November and 7 December.
