Painted doors raise funds for endangered elephants

An initiative to help save elephants from the cruelty of the ivory trade, E-is-for-Elephants, was hosted by Artjamming and the International Fund for Animal Welfare recently at Cavendish Square, Cape Town.

Celebrities and children from Reach for A Dream painted 10 fully functional doors, which serve as a constant visual reminder of the threats facing elephants. "We decided to paint and auction doors as they can be installed as a permanent reminder of our need to remember and save elephants from the ivory trade," said Lisa Cant-Haylett, of IFAW southern Africa.

A silent auction of their "masterpieces" is taking place and the bidding starts at R1000.Place a bid.

Please support this initiative and help save our environment. The funds will go towards the protection of these animals.
