Steenberg Hotel wins Condé Nast reader awards

Cape Town's Steenberg Hotel has been voted onto the Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards' Top 100 Hotels & Resorts in the World list for the second year in a row. The boutique hotel was also voted one of the top 10 destinations on the African continent by readers of Condé Nast Traveler in the US.

Every year, some 46 000 readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine select the "best of the best" from cities, islands, hotels and resorts they have visited, as well as cruise ships and airlines they have travelled on in the past year, for a Readers' Choice Award. Their combined opinions determine the winners in each category.

Steenberg's GM, Gaby Gramm, is delighted with this repeated vote of confidence - especially with ratings being based on individual perceptions of the hotel. "Being voted twice in a row among the finest hotels and resorts in the world by discerning international travellers, all of whom have experienced our hospitality first-hand, highlights the consistently world-class guest experience that our team delivers. Steenberg is an experiential destination that offers many resort attractions, but I do believe it is our warm-and-caring service that inspires our guests to return again and again," she enthused.

Old-world charm and modern touches

Steenberg is defined by a mix of old-world charm and modern touches. From its prime location on the oldest farm in Cape Town's Constantia Wine Valley, just 20 minutes from the city centre, it offers a range of experiences to entice, entertain and engage guests, while they soak up the rich heritage and breathtaking views.

This, along with the hotel's facilities and luxury spa, championship golf course, the award-winning Steenberg Winery and two restaurants and a bubbly bar, has earned Steenberg a string of major international accolades over the past few years.
