The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), in partnership with the Department of Health, has awarded Kwikspace Modular Buildings the tender to provide prefab mobile structures for the College of Health Sciences' medical and nursing students for 2013. Kwikspace will supply residential and learning space at various hospital locations in KwaZulu-Natal where students receive clinical training.

The project comprises five mobile units, the first of which is a residential unit at Manguzi Hospital that was handed over on 20 June, a mere 20 days after construction. Kwikspace is anticipating delivering a large office (over 195 sqm) complete with internet and boardroom facilities in the middle of July to Greys Hospital.

The three remaining residential units will accommodate four students during their training at Emmaus, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial and St. Andrews hospitals. These units will be completed in August 2013.

Comments Zandile Masondo, Kwikspace regional sales manager, KZN, "Our strong reputation coupled with our flexible and reliable building solutions made us the natural choice.
