Round four (Highway Round) of BDO School Quiz went to Westville Boys High School in a closely fought contest. The four Grade 10 members of the winning team beat a team from Thomas More College to claim victory with 71 points. Luca Folpini, Benton Erasmus, Siya Ndlwana and Liam O’Connor celebrated their win with the 22 teams that took part in their round. The top two teams of four Grade 10 or 11 learners from each school in each round will go through to the finals, which will be held at Clifton College on 5 May.

The quiz champions earn the right to nominate a disadvantaged school to win R10,000 worth of books. BDO has teamed up with independent bookstore Books&Books again this year and an additional sponsor, Kip McGrath Education and Learner Enrichment Centres.
