Apple Car being tested in secret Berlin lab - report

Thanks to numerous reports, we know that Apple is hard at work on its first car, but we now have more details on the project courtesy of a German website. According to Faz.net, the Cupertino company has a small, secretive lab in the middle of Berlin which is devoted to the automotive project.

The report further claims that there are between 15 and 20 people working at the lab, with backgrounds in engineering, sales, software and hardware. It also adds that the Apple Car is expected to be released in 2019 or 2020.

In a rather interesting twist, the report mentions that Apple has sought the help of automaker Magna Steyr, which is one of the largest 'contract automakers' in the industry. Magna Steyr has no shortage of experience in the industry, currently manufacturing various Mini Cooper models, for one.
