    Infecting the City launches

    The Africa Centre, in collaboration with the Gordon Institute for Performing and Creative Arts, is launching the Infecting the City (ITC) Sessions on 29 and 30 March, 2016, in the Company's Garden, Cape Town.
    Infecting the City launches

    The first ITC Session starts at 5pm in front of the Iziko Museum in the Garden and runs till 7.30pm in various other locations throughout the Garden. The evening will feature a range of powerful and thought-provoking work, including: an electrifying dance performance, Le Kombi, by international choreographer and dancer Jeannot Kumbonyeki; a rendition of a traditional Cape Gathering of Remembrance, hosted by Hasan and Husain Essop; a playful portrait of exchange with performance artist Anthea Moys; iNdoni Arts & Leadership Academy’s dance performance, Inkululeko; and more. Both days are identical.

    ITC Session 2 will also take place on St Georges Mall, on the 12 and13 April, Session 3, will take place in Delft on 23 April, and Session 4, will take place in Khayelitsha on 30 April.

    The ITC Session 1and 2 are curated by Leila Anderson and Sessions 3 and 4 are curated by Mandisi Sindo, with curatorial support by Jay Pather.
