"The experimental festival is a unique opportunity for third-year students to discover and express their artistic intent as well as experiment with film, theatre and television craft techniques," said Garth Holmes, co-founder and Chairman of AFDA.

This year, Durban hosts the experimental festival with its first group of third-year students. Durban's Dean, Franco Human, said: "There is great anticipation amongst the staff and students as we gear up to show the rest of South Africa how KZN students intend making their mark on the screens and stages of the future."
