Louise Day recently signed to Seed, a division of Sheer Sound, joining other SA artists such as Boo!, Plush, Taxi Violence and The Dirty Skirts. Her debut album "Swallowed By The City" was produced by Theo Crous (Parlotones, Prime Circle, Louise Carver, Flat Stanley, The Dirty Skirts), and features 11 original songs, all written by Day.

The first single, Swallowed By The City, the title track from the album, is a pop/rock track and other songs on the album include: Chasing The Wind, a ballad; Sinner a rock track; Lucky a love song; and Addict, which was used by Aston Martin as a theme song.

Day has spent the past five years honing her skill and composing songs. She started her career with a residency at a live music venue in Aspen, Colorado called Belly Up. This led to her being invited to perform at the Winter X Games and Tempe Music Festival in Arizona where she shared the stage with artists such as John Mayer and The Fray, as well regular performances on East Coast Plum TV. On her return to South Africa in 2008, Day assembled a band and independently recorded a collection of her songs to sell at gigs. Some of the songs interested the media and she enjoyed airplay on regional stations, such as KFM, Highveld Stereo and Heart FM as well as national interest from campus radio.

In 2009, Day left her career in advertising to focus full time on her music career. Over the course of that year she's performed with some of South Africa's finest talent including: Just Jinjer, Flat Stanley, aKing, Tasha Baxter, Josie Field, Farryl Purkiss, Plush, Paul E. Flynn, James Stewart, Joshua Grierson and Andy Lund.
