"Porn Star" is a production in which up-and-coming actors have the opportunity to be cast in adult films. As with all film roles, actors have to audition and giving the genre of this particular production, the actors have to partake in auditions which naturally would have to assess their skills and talents in more than just dialogue. The auditions are, however, not being presented at Sexpo as has been the talk of late, but will be taking place at the Lollipop Lounge.
Sexpo has lent its support to this concept and will facilitate the reality show as an exhibitor at the expo, giving them the opportunity to sell their DVDs. The main stage at Sexpo is also the place where the winners of the competition will be announced. However, under no circumstances will live sex shows be taking place at Sexpo. Logistics manager, Craig Mayman has said, "Sexpo is a health, sexuality and lifestyle expo, which lends itself as a platform for the adult industry. The nature of Sexpo is to push the envelope a little but always in the name of good, clean fun. No live sex shows will be happening over the expo period."
