Sorbet is opening an internationally recognised beauty school called The Beauty Therapy Institute @ Sorbet, offering women of all ages, and from all walks of life, the opportunity to learn new skills at affordable rates and during flexible hours. The savings on this modular system are claimed to be significant, compared to the traditional beauty schools that can charge as much as R50 000 per annum.

Sandy Roy, the founder and franchisor of the institute, opened her doors 14 years ago and registered to offer internationally and nationally recognised modular courses with ITEC and SAAHSP (South African Association of Health and Skincare Professionals).
Tammy Lloyd will be the principal of the institute. She was a student at the Cape Town institute and has since had eight years of experience as an educator in the Cape Town College. She has been running her own franchise in Randburg for the past three years.
