Situated in the weekend retreat town of choice and home of the best trout fishing in South Africa - Dullstroom, Mpumalanga, Kat-Man-Doo claims to offer a first in South Africa - 5 star weekends once a month for discerning gay males who want to flee the rat race to be pampered, entertained, wined and dined.
Offering a restaurant, spa facilities, steam room, jacuzzi and sauna, the first official weekend will be 21-23 January 2011. It starts off with cocktails to be served around the pool area, where you can gaze over the hills while the "naked chef" prepares your dinner - a West Coast-style braai on the Friday evening, breakfast in bed the Saturday morning, whilst the rest of the day can be spend lazing around the pool, indulging in the spa area or visiting the many shops in Dullstroom.
Saturday evening features a casino-themed night complete with an entertaining drag artiste. Join the guests Sunday morning for breakfast in the dining room and spend the day indulging in the company of your partner or friends. And there is no need to rush home - if you want to stay the Sunday night as well, it is on the house.
Kat-Man-Doo takes place once a month at Dullstroom's leading boutique hotel. It is an AA superior graded and it has a 5 star rating from the SA grading council. Its rooms range from 107m² with mini-bar, fireplaces, satellite TV and other mod-cons.
Dinner, bed and breakfast are all included. The rate is R800 per person sharing per night; and if you book for Friday and Saturday you get Sunday night for free - there is no charge for the third night.
