A limited three hundred passengers will all receive the VVIP experience of a less crowded NYE celebration with all-board-welcome drinks while either lounging in the private carriages or dancing to the beats of three local DJs spinning the latest in hip-hop, disco, afro-house, and house music. The DJ conductors include: Cape Town duo Hauswork spinning the best vocal house music, Joburg’s Pat La Funk with his chunky deep house sound and finally a rising superstar from Langa Cape Town, DJ FOSTA.
The train will stop just before midnight and champagne glasses filled with bubbles for the NYE toast before continuing the journey of 2017.
The Station on Bree offers Cape Town and international folk several themed ‘stations’ aptly fitted with familiar hallmarks of the United Kingdom’s (UK) famous tube system.
According to The Station on Bree founder Neil Basel, until now there has been no venue offering a diverse platform of entertainment, a themed-destination and a prime location: “Our character-filled heritage venue will be decked out and should you mind the gap we’ve got everything covered for your ultimate VVIP NYE commuter experience across multiple levels and platforms, including an underground club vibe. Expect a cozy colourful experience throughout the venue from train seating to courtyard bus shelter to underground dance floor.”
