Sisters Act create lounge for Two Oceans at Knysna Oyster Festival

Distell has commissioned event-management company Sisters Act to create a fresh and modern tasting lounge for Two Oceans at the annual Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival, which will be held from 1 to 10 July, 2011.

A crowd of 65 000 people is expected to flock to Knysna this week to enjoy over 100 events, ranging from cycling, running and adventure races to wine and whisky tastings. Many come to the beautiful Garden Route town to take part in the Pick n Pay Cape Times Knysna Forest Marathon and the Pick n Pay Weekend Argus Rotary Knysna Cycle Tour. However, for those more interested in the culinary side of things there are numerous oyster-related events, including the annual oyster-shucking competition and the Pick n Pay Oyster & Wine Mardi Gras.

A modern nautical look

Sisters Act set up and branded the white-and-blue Two Oceans lounge, adding potted white orchids to create a modern nautical look. The team also set up and managed the bars, as well as sourcing quality staff from Knysna and George, training them to ensure that the brand message was professionally communicated to festival goers.

Sisters Act facilitated an iPad activation whereby people were invited to access the Two Oceans Facebook page and "Like" to stand a chance of winning prizes.
