Greek month at The Grand

This winter's Grand Café & Beach, Granger Bay, Cape Town, winter menu will have Greece as its July theme, launching on Wednesday, 13 July, 2011. There will be the breaking of plates, dancing the Sirtos and lots of ouzo.

Chef Seelan's "Grand Greek" menu will include hand-made dolmades, deep-fried haloumi cheese, chicken shwarmas, traditional baked fish and slow-roasted Greek lamb, with custom- made almond, honey and yoghurt gelato served as dessert.

India and Portugal to follow

Grand Around the World features specially created menus every month until September, each one inspired by a different country from around the world. The selected countries for this winter have already featured Italy and France in May and June, with Greece, India and Portugal to follow in July, August and September respectively.

The Grand Cafe & Beach is set on a private beach adjacent the V&A Waterfront with ocean and mountain views.
