Origin Festival brightens up month end

The Origin Festival, described as a weekend of psychedelic music, art and culture, takes place at Elandskloof Farm, Helderstroom, between Villiersdorp and Greyton, only 125 km from Cape Town. It offers various additions to the music festival environment, including top international guests, South African talent, a visionary art gallery, recycling initiatives, alternate music floors and styles and more.
Origin Festival brightens up month end

On Friday, the amazing Psychedelic Temple, designed once again by Artescape, with the best psychedelic beats from around the world and the Extradimensional Space Agency (UK) are back with hundreds of its LEDs in the event's biggest lighting installation.

Saturday hosts Funky Techno and Tech House amongst the trees on the main pool lawn next to the river. Sunday is all about the new sounds of PsyBass & ChillStep - the funky side of chill, with big sound from the Redbull Sound System

Exhibiting visionary artists from South Africa and around the world include works from Android Jones (US), Amanda Sage (US), Aumega (SA), Ed Babb (SA), Oliver Barnett (SA) and more.

Partners in the event are GoodTimes Events, Nano Records, Redbull Studio, Quicket, Elrow and Gem Records. Online tickets are available at www.quicket.co.za at R330 per person. Tickets will be sold at the gates from Friday 2pm to Sunday 8am at R350, with a Sunday ticket available at the gate only at R250 from 8am.
