In addition to valuable content around the most current technology trends from global technology research company, Gartner, and top SAP executives and partners, the upcoming Saphila 2014 event will be a wellspring of user-focused information, with speakers confirmed from an impressive list of both private and public sector organisations across the African continent.

Saphila 2014, a biennial African event hosted by the African SAP User Group (AFSUG), will take place from 9-11 June 2014 at the Sun City Resort in the North-West Province. The Saphila 2014 Executive Forum kicks off on 8 June.

Says Sal Laher, AFSUG vice chairman: "In keeping with our refocused, re-engineered, and innovative event this year, we have brought together an impressive list of SAP customers, representing a real cross section of industries and topics. We envisage Saphila 2014 being the ideal place for the African SAP user community to meet and collaborate, sharing knowledge and lessons learnt."

These SAP users range from Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), energy and chemical company, Sasol, The City of Cape Town, Dis-Chem and Standard Bank, to mining giants, Exxaro and Anglo American, steel supplier, Macsteel, NamPower, Namibia's national power utility, SAPPI, agricultural services and foods group, AFGRI, and gas and welding product provider, Afrox.

Further to these local user testimonials, Belgian Railways will provide an international case study, examining how this organisation, with more than 18,000 employees and an operating network that includes four high-speed lines across the country, managed to achieve complete information governance.
