They will also gain access to insight into the various training initiatives currently taking place under the scope of TASA's mission to revitalise the tool, die and mould-making industry.

The two-day conference will expose toolmakers to management and TASA support systems, which will assist them in becoming more efficient and profitable, and will introduce visitors to the mechanics of raising IDC funding, initiatives to boost Toolmaking Enterprise Development, and technological advancements for machine tool and tooling suppliers.

    Clustering in the industry

Among the many highlights, TASA's CEO, Henk Snyman, will be giving a critical presentation on the second day of the conference, which will include an important announcement on clustering in the industry. This key announcement is expected to make a significant impact on the industry in its entirety and anyone and everyone who is actively involved in manufacturing is encouraged to attend.

However, for delegates who are unable to attend the conference portion of the event, TASA will also be setting up a stand at the AfriMold Trade Fair Exhibition (Stand F32). At the stand, TASA will be featuring a sample of successfully introduced visual shop floor management systems and a video presentation of a tooling process simulation. They will also exhibit locally manufactured tooling of various types, as well as CAD and machining done by students who are being trained by the National Tooling Initiative Programme (NTIP). In addition, TASA's legal consultant will be available to provide legal advice and contract management assistance.
