Canderel launches Candescent Pocket Packs in support of breast cancer

Canderel, patrons of PinkLink, has pledged R1 to PinkLink Breast Cancer Advocacy for every one of the new Candescent Pocket Packs purchased.

Retailing at approximately R15.99, the packs which come in three designs were custom created to communicate that “knowledge is power”. When women have the knowledge they are empowered to make the right decisions. By using “can” prominently Canderel shows women that they can achieve anything and take control of their life.

The first design Be Candescent, means to shine or to glow and reflects the strength that women can achieve anything. The second design Become your own Canvas - is about women creating their own destiny and taking control of their own life. The third design is Glow like a Candle, which means to reflect light at all times and be positive.

You can achieve anything

Breast Cancer survivor and PinkLink Breast Cancer Advocacy founder, Samantha Galliét is a woman that has shown you can achieve anything. She founded Pink Link Breast Cancer Advocacy, a group that empowers women by educating them on what they should be doing, their rights in terms of access to Breast Cancer treatment and how to exercise these rights.

The limited edition Candescent low calorie sweetener pocket pack gives women a chance to participate in the positive advocacy work being done by Samantha and PinkLink Breast Cancer Advocacy.

“Pink Link's positive advocacy approach has women's rights on top of its agenda and we believe the work they are doing is critical to empower women to take charge of their lives,” comments Jason Frichol, Group Brand Strategist at Fore Good, FMCG brand custodians and exclusive distributor of Canderel.

Get involved

“In a world where cancer accounts for one in eight deaths globally, more than HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria combined, the need to get involved individually and from a corporate social responsibility perspective is more critical than ever before.”

Galliét believes that women need to become responsible healthcare consumers and ask the right questions when it comes to their healthcare. “Cancer is expensive to treat and it will only get more expensive,” says Galliét. “Often women who are diagnosed with Breast Cancer do not have the kind of healthcare and financial support that they need.”

“Funds from the sale of these pocket packs will be utilised to raise awareness and educate consumers to have foresight and be more prepared.”
