Sanofi Pasteur and TLC spread the word on flu prevention

According to TLC's new client, Sanofi Pasteur, the Vaccine Division of Sanofi Aventis, flu and pneumonia are ranked second as leading causes of natural deaths in South Africa - higher than heart disease, stroke, diabetes and HIV.

To spread awareness about flu and flu vaccination's preventative properties, Sanofi Pasteur has chosen indoor media specialists TLC to flight its Flu Vaccine campaign via its national Shopping Mall washroom frame network.

This new contract will allow Sanofi Pasteur access to washroom frames in 23 of the country's key malls, targeting male and female consumers in the LSM 6 - 10 categories.

“The beauty of Sanofi Pasteur advertising in the mall holding is that the facts are made clear and consumers are prompted to get their flu jabs without hesitation which are readily available at the pharmacists located in the various malls where the campaign is being flighted,” says Lee Curtis, National Sales Manager at TLC.

The aim of the vaccine communiqué is to engage both teenagers and adults close to point of sale and drive home how easily fatal flu related complications such as bronchitis and pneumonia can be prevented by having the vaccination. Andrew Kramer, MD at The Letter Corporation comments “As flu affects the majority of the population, we're confident that the campaign will pique a great deal of interest and drive consumers to get their vaccination when they're next visiting the mall.”

The Sanofi Pasteur campaign will be flighted between February and March 2009.
