Snap Z-Card launched at BHF conference

Z-Card, a specialist in PocketMedia, launched its new Snap Z-Card at the Board of Healthcare Funders of Southern Africa (BHF) Conference held at Sun City, Johannesburg from 30 August to 2 September 2009.

According to Lyn Davis, the marketing director of Z-Card, BHF is the representative organisation for the majority of medical schemes throughout South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Lesotho. It celebrated its 10th conference anniversary this year.

"Snap Z-Card has been purposefully designed as the ideal media platform for marketers and advertisers aiming to target and communicate with members and prospective consumers of various medical aid, membership and loyalty programmes. It provides a one-stop easy solution for these various schemes to effectively communicate with their target market," says Davis.

The front, primary cover of the Snap Card is produced as a member's actual medical aid or loyalty membership card, while three perforated miniature cards on the back cover are for each dependant on the medical scheme or member of the loyalty scheme.

"Each mini card has a hole punched in the top corner, ideal to be attached to child's school, sport or pencil bag ensuring that the consumer's dependants always have easy access to their medical or other pertinent information," adds Davis.

The primary and secondary cards are attached to the Snap Z-Card inners with a low tack adhesive, ensuring that once they are removed, consumers still have the original Z-Card that carries the marketer's important information, messages and even application forms for the medical or loyalty scheme.

Z-Card exhibited at the BHF conference and produced the programme Z-Card for the organisation, which was presented in a lanyard and handed out to each delegate.

“BHF's delegates loved the new Z-Programme and many commented on its easy to carry, handy format. Due to the popularity of this concept, we will definitely use the Z-Card again next year,” says Zola Mtshiya, BHF public relations officer, corporate communications.
