Preserving hope: Fertility discussions for female cancer patients
The Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) highlights the impact of a cancer diagnosis on women, regarding fertility. At the peak of their youth, when life is usually a beautiful journey of dreams and possibilities, women diagnosed with cancer might meet difficult and unforeseen intersection of challenges. According to Stats SA's report (released in March 2023), 2.4% (1,054) of female South Africans diagnosed with cancer in 2019 were between 20 and 29. World Health Day - Listen to your gut
The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) emphasises the importance of colorectal health on World Health Day (7 April). Colorectal cancer, is among the top three for men and women in South Africa according to the National Cancer Register (2019). Previously colorectal cancer was associated with older adults, however younger adults are being diagnosed more frequently.
