Summer lovingAnother imminent weekend, another jam-packed possible itinerary. Welcome to that busy time of year! This weekend sees The Table Mountain Blues Summit return to Durbanville, the launch of the Malkop Festival in Lambert's Bay, and the Le Kap Lifestyle Fair swan into Stellenbosch. On the food and wine front, the Bacon Fest celebrates all things greasy in Woodstock and the bubbly Franschhoek Cap Classique and Champagne Festival gets popping in Franschhoek. Not too mention Groovy Sexy Love, Wavescapes and We Love Summer. In top story news I review new fest on the scene, River Republic, and interview Goldfish about headlining the forthcoming Electric Vines NYE festival. Eugene Yiga recommends Kaapse Stories from the Mother City at Richard's Supper Stage, and Lwandile Fikeni is crowned Arts Journalist of the Year. Tickets to Electric Vines, Creed front man Scott Stapp's SA shows and the Kirstenbosch Summer Concert featuring Mango Groove are all up for grabs!
